Description
The Colihues La Yesca Copiulemu landfill gas project is located in Requínoa, O'Higgins, Chile. The Project aims to capture, burn and generate electricity with an installed capacity of 4.5 MW (3 x 1.5 MW), through the use of landfill gas. Before implementing the project, the baseline scenario was the partial release of landfill gas into the atmosphere and burning of a portion of the landfill gas through a passive capture system.
The Project is being registered at Verra/VCS.
